With another year's edition having come and gone, the 2011 HHWA (The HEADIES) awards were held in Lagos on Saturday night (October 22).
Taking place at the at the Expo Hall Eko Hotel and suites, the big winner of the night was 2Face Idibia- who garnered three trophies out of his pack-leading six nominations, M.I, Ice Prince (His label mate BrymO featured on “Oleku”, the track which won the awards while Ice Prince also featured on another award winning track, JahBless“Joor Oh” remix which won the Best Street Hop award), Darey and Dr SID won 2 awards respectively.

Hosted by musician/producer and CEO Trybes records Eldee tha Don and screen goddess Rita Dominic , the annual HHWA (The HEADIES) awards also featured performances by top acts such as Waje, Wizkid, Iceprince, among many others.
Including special tributes to Sir Shina Peters and his induction into the Hall of fame, Wizkid won The 2011 Headies Next Rated Award! This comes with a brand new Hyundai Sonata
