Uche Jombo rescues Van Vicker from SSS detention


Ghana film actor Van Vicker, was arrested in Lagos for possession of some arms last weekend. lindaikeji.com revealed that Nollywood screen queen, Uche Jombo, had on Monday come to the rescue of Ghana film actor Van Vicker who was detained by the State Security Service.

According to several posts on the blogosphere, Van who was visiting Nigeria had been on his way home when he hit his snag with the law. The star had cleared through security check and was aboard a flight when security personnel called on him to explain the suspicious contents of his luggage.
Van was transporting prop guns which he explained he purchased from the United States for use in an upcoming film. However, the SSS operatives were far from convinced, insisting that Van come with them to their weapons’ expert in Ikoyi.
The Ghana star was whisked away to the SSS holdings in Ikoyi on Sunday where he was detained overnight. According to reports, Van had made calls to his wife and a colleague, Uche Jombo.
Uche was at the AMAAs on Sunday night and had been unable to access her phone messages. She received them the following morning and quickly sprung to action, freeing her pal from SSS clutches.
