Kim Kardashian Files for Divorce After 72 Days Of Marriage
We didn’t expect this…….! After 72 days of marriage Kim Kardashian has filed to divorce NBA star Kris Humphries according to documents which list the separation as October 31st, the E! Reality starlet has decided to seek a legal end from husband Kris Humphries, citing the ever-popular “irreconcilable differences” for the demise. Beefing up her side with lawyer to the stars Laura Wasser, Kardashian will be represented by the same attorney known for repping stars like Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, Maria Shriver and Ryan Reynolds.
The news comes amidst heavy speculation the two were heading to splitsville, following a few allegedly unhappy-looking sightings of the duo. Kim and Kris, who tied the knot back on August 20th, do have a prenuptial agreement in place.
Ryan Seacrest who produces Kim’s reality shows, confirmed this on twitter saying
“Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.”
This divorce is the end of a super-tumultuous marriage. Just this weekend, Kim had two big solo appearances in New York City, where she looked sad and annoyed.
It’s also telling that Kris has been holed up in Minnesota while she’s been out and about in NYC.
In recent weeks, the couple has been said to be increasingly distant and icy to each other in public, on recent dates spending more time on their phones than interacting with each other. They were even spotted fighting on video on a recent public date — things weren’t going well for sure!
