Team GB Unveil London 2012 Olympics Kit

The London 2012 kit British sportsmen and women will be hoping to wear at the Olympics has been unveiled today
A ‘stella’ line-up of gold medal hopefuls, including Chris Hoy, Victoria Pendleton, Andy Murray and Jessica Ennis (pictured below) took a break from their busy training schedules to unveil the Adidas kit which has been designed by Stella McCartney. No stranger to sportswear design, having produced a series of collections for Adidas, Stella McCartney has become the first fashion designer to put her stamp on an Olympic kit.

Speaking about the design process, Stella revealed: ‘The first place to start on a project like this is to look at the Union flag. For me, it’s one of the most beautiful flags in the world and it was important for me to stay true to that iconic design but also to modernise it and present it in a contemporary way.’

Using different shades of blue to build up a stylised representation of the Union flag the kit has already been criticised in the media for being too, well blue - but do you think it’s a winning look?
