THE AUMA CATERS TO THE UNSIGNED IN GEORGIA
The Atlanta Underground Music Awards (A.U.M.A) is back at it again for a fourth year. This event is scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Enigma Hall in Marietta, GA. The Atlanta Underground Music Awards are like a magnet for some of the best talent around. This year, we’re excited to announce that Kaine from the Ying Yang and Big Sam. YoungThug and NFL player Edawn Coughman are on top to present awards. As we’ve mentioned before, our own local celebrity crushes, Citty and TBaby and his surprise quest all cohosting, but with these new additions adding to the roster, we’re even more excited for this year ceremony.
The 2014 Atlanta Underground Music Awards will air on AUMA website on Sunday, July 14 at 7:15 p.m. ET/PT, and it’s not too late to vote for your favorite nominee.
The A.U.M.A was created to acknowledge and honor the achievements of unsigned indie artists, producers, promoters and other vital persons who have made outstanding contributions to the Georgia music scene. Specializing in all genres of music, we focus strongly on those individuals who have made a significant impact within the underground circuit. Because there are so many talented men and women who are consistently unrecognized for their achievements, this awards show is designed to reveal these special people to the public in an intimate formal environment that is comparable to events that are held nationally and globally.
This year local rapper Dell Cashtro who’s dying of Hodgkins lymphoma 4B is to be honored at the 2014 Atlanta Underground Music Katrina Moore states, “We’re transforming the way we operate to continuously improve our ability to help the underground community and people in the industry, some categories has change for the better. Our staff and partners have continued to meet the challenges of our field and to excel.
Last year we received a letter from Atlanta’s Mayor Kasim Reed;We are very proud of where we are today and excited about where we are headed. The AUMA’s will combine the elements of an awards show and an entertainment concert into one lively show.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Atlanta Underground Music Academy a nonprofit organizations that providing quality music education for anyone who wishes to learn about the entertainment business.
