“Prince Alwaleed bin Talal blasts Forbes Says He’s worth £20BILLION after they said he's 'only worth £13billion' in rich list

In a recent rating by Forbes magazine , Prince Alwaleed bin Talal was ranked 26th on the magazine's  rich list, the magazine says he is worth an estimated $20billion, but the prince says that he is actually worth more like $29.6billion

A statement from the prince’s Kingdom Holding Company said the Forbes valuation process used ‘incorrect data’ and ‘seemed designed to disadvantage Middle Eastern investors’.

Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal is threatening to boycott an annual list of the world’s super-rich, after Forbes magazine claimed he was worth ‘only’ £13billion.

Big business: The Prince's company owns a stake in the Savoy hotel in London

He is unhappy with a ‘flawed’ estimation of his wealth, which left him languishing in 26th place with a mere £13billion. Prince Alwaleed, the Saudi King Abdullah’s nephew, insists his investments in London’s Savoy Hotel, Apple, Citigroup and News Corp have been undervalued.

According to the prince’s calculations he should have been ranked at number ten with a £19.5billion fortune, right behind L’Oreal heiress Liliane Bettencourt.

He owns two super yachts, the world’s largest private jet and more than 200 cars.  These include his collection of Rolls-Royces, Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

The Saudi, who is married to Princess Amira Al-Taweel, has blasted the list, saying it is biased against businessmen from the Middle East.
