Toolz O, Tim Horwood join Banky W as MTV Base VJ Search Judges!
Celebrity host and popular Beat FM OAP, Toolz and MTV Creative Director Tim Horwood have been revealed as judges in the MTV Base VJ Search – Nigeria. Together with previously announced judge Banky W, Toolz and Horwood will be helping to identify the brand new VJ who will become one of the key faces of the music network, hosting programmes on MTV Base (DStv Channel 322) and on the MTV Base block on STV.
This week, social networks have been ablaze with news about the MTV Base VJ Search as the Nigerian music industry gets behind the search for a brand new MTV Base VJ. A-list celebs have taken over Twitter using the hashtag #BaseVJSearch to talk about the search. These celebs include 2Face, P-Square’s Peter Okoye, Ice Prince, Davido, Banky W, Eldee, Basketmouth, Waje, and Toolz.
Others include DJ Spinall, DJ Neptune, Eva Alordiah, Bouqui, Timi Dakola, Phenom, JJC, Lynxxx, DotStar, ZaraGetti, D’Prince, Iyanya as well as Samklef, KCee, Brymo, Bovi, Iceberg Slim, Jimmy Jatt, 9ice, Mr. Raw and Mo’Cheddah.

The MTV Base VJ Search is open to Nigerian citizens aged between 18-25, with fluent spoken English and a valid Nigerian passport. Applicants already associated with another major TV or radio station are not eligible to participate.
