Inpector General of Police,Hafiz Ringim Fired!!!
President Goodluck Jonathan, on Wednesday, finally bowed to pressure to sack the senior security officials blamed by many Nigerians for the country’s growing insecurity problems. However, rather than sack all the service chiefs that critics have assailed for the failure of intelligence that has hobbled the war against the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, Jonathan removed one.
Hafiz Ringim, the Inspector General of Police until yesterday, bade bye to the Force as Jonathan removed him and Assistant Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Dikko Abubakar, has been tipped to replace the departing IG.His sack must have been due to the recent goof involving the escape of Kabiru Sokoto, the Boko Haram suspect linked with the deadly Christmas Day bombings in Madalla, near Abuja, which claimed over forty lives.
