DO THE FAMILY HUSTLE WITH T.I. & TINY

MTV Base is about to give Africa a fascinating look into the world of multi-platinum rapper T.I. in the new reality series T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle (premiere: MTV Base, DStv Channel 322, 6 June 2012, 21:00 CAT).

The new series follows the self-proclaimed “King of the South" at his most vulnerable, as he re-acclimatizes back into his life as a father, husband, son, musician, apparel magnate (of the Akoo contemporary clothing line), businessman, actor, author and founder and co-chief executive officerof Grand Hustle Records.

T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle gives T.I. fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the most private moments of the Grammy-winning artist as he is reunited with his wife, Tameka (a.k.a Tiny), and his children following his release from his 12-month prison sentence for probation violations.

Speaking of his involvement in T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle, T.I. revealed that he had opened up his home and family life to the public because he didn’t want to be defined by “small moments” in his life, and that he and wife Tiny had chosen to show off their family and their parenting skills.

"Tameka and I have a strong, loving family," said T.I. "In this family documentary, you will see the challenges of raising children while balancing a career. It's like a lot of families, only our home is in the spotlight."

Viewers will also gain an insight into the loving relationship between T.I. and his wife Tameka, who has faithfully stood by T.I.'s side through his highs and lows and who herself was a former member of the '90s Grammy-winning pop group Xscape. The mother of two of T.I.'s six children, who has her own fifteen-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, Tameka was forced to hold down the fort while T.I. was behind bars. Viewers also are introduced to the OMG GIRLZ, a new up-and-coming pop group that Tameka manages.

Tune in to T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle on MTV Base to see the “Whatever you Like” star re-ascending his throne, reclaiming his kingdom, rebuilding his businesses, and reconnecting with his family and friends.
