Lauryn Hill releases new single to mark her release from prison after serving three-month sentence for tax evasion




Lauryn Hill marked her scheduled release from federal prison on tax evasion charges on Friday by releasing a new single. The 38-year-old former singer for the Fugees in July started serving a three-month sentence after pleading guilty to tax evasion.

She marked her pending release with the release of new song Consumerism. In her song, lauryn hill  targets 'corporate gree in Jesus' name' and also laments ageism, sexism, racism and 'compromised commercialism.'
