MTN Aeroplane Winner Ebube Enjoys Celebrity Status + Recieves Her Cheque at MTN Corporate Elite Nite



The winner of the 182T Cessna aeroplane in the MTN Ultimate Wonder Promo, Ebube Essien-Garricks, has been formally, unveiled and presented to a huge crowd of sports and entertainment lovers, VIP’s, captains of industry, giants of the marketing and communication world by the telecommunications company, at the Corporate Elite Nite, held in the Convention Centre of Eko Hotels and Suites on Sunday, December 2, 2012.

Ebube, who, after winning the grand prize, opted for the cash equivalent, which amounts to 64 million Naira, was overwhelmed with excitement, as she mounted the stage to bask in the glory of her new found millionare and celebrity status. She, once again, generously thanked MTN for transforming her life.

“I just want to thank everyone in MTN, for what they have done in my life” Ebube, joyously said before a massively filled auditorium of the “who’s who in the corporate and entertainment world, revealing the fact that she is still getting used to her new status, as a public figure.


The event, which had Olisa Adebua as the compere, also had live performances from Shina Peters, Dr. Sid and Tiwa Savage both of Mavin records, Timi Dakolo, Bovi (comedian), foreign acts like JT Taylor of “kool and the Gang”, Midnight Star, and SOS, with songs that made the audience abandon their cosy chairs for the dance floor.

Several boxing bouts were also staged to round up the Corporate Elite Night. Dare Ayowale who was initially knocked down by Waheed Usman still went on to win the fight against his taller opponent through a knockout as Weheed’s corner threw in the towel to save their boxer from countless dangerous jabs, hooks and uppercuts delivered by Ayowale. Isaac Eko (Ivy), who is 8th on line, for World Boxing Organisation belt, knocked down his Algerian opponent, in round two.
