Yakubu Aiyegbeni set to sign £5m a year deal in China
Blackburn Rovers and Super Eagles striker, Yakubu Aiyegbeni, is set to join Guangzhou R&F in China on a bumper £5m-a-year move.
“It’s 99 per cent done,” the club vice president Lu Yi said.
The powerful front man scored 17 goals for the Lancashire club, which he joined from Everton, but still suffered relegation with them. This will make him easily the highest paid Nigerian footballer abroad but will be a step down in terms of quality.
For me he is a natural finisher, let’s bone the miss at the world cup.. this is cool cash mehn.. Congrats
